先月より 奉職寺院中心の生活から、西願寺に軸足を置いた生活に移行しました。皆様のお力を借りつつの毎日でしたが、先代の往生から一年が過ぎ、両立が難しくなってきたのが理由の一つです。
身の置き方について、多方面から 様々なご意見を頂戴しました。その経験から ” 理想 ” は人それぞれ違うことを学びました。決断に慎重になると、優柔不断と叱責されますが、結局 なにが正しいのかわかりませんし、誰も責任を持ってくれません。経済的な問題、人間関係、それぞれの生き甲斐や考え方、心身の状態 … 色々な縁によって成り立つものですから、一つのバランスが崩れれば、立て直しは困難です。縁はヤジロべーのようなものです。絶妙な支点を探せるのは ” 自分自身 ” です。一つ一つ丁寧に、出来ることからやっていこうと思っています。

仕事にかぎらず、目標や理想を高いところにおくのは悪いことではないでしょう。ところが、その目標や理想にこだわりすぎて、何が何でも１００％の完成度でなければならないと思い込むようになると、考え方に悪いクセがつきつつある証拠です。とくに、気持ちが滅入ってくると、知らず知らずのうちに根拠のない理想に縛られて、自分を追い込んでしまうことがあります。もうひとつ、仕事の速さに理想を求めすぎている、ということもあります。たとえば、本来は１０日間かけてやるべき仕事なのに、「これくらいの仕事は、５日でやれないとダメだ」と思うと、焦ってイライラしたり、辛くなったりします。すると、問題はオーバーペースであることなのに、「自分はこの仕事に向かない」と、方向性まで間違っていたかのように誤解してしまう。つまり、理想というのは、あくまで長期的目標であって、それを短期的目標といっしょにしてしまうと、自分を追い込んでしまうことになるのです。（『ココロの筋トレ』 インフォバーン ）
正直、お寺の生活は難しいです。効率で語れないことが多々あります。商売なら 互いにご破算できますが、お寺はそうはいきません。住職は それぞれの ” 理想 ” を受け入れつつ、笑顔で ゆっくりゆっくり … 。心配しなくても、一つの言葉、思い、行動が 別の縁となって現れてきます。良縁の流れに乗るのが 仏教の考えです。理想に縛られ ギスギスすれば、それこそ歪みが生ずるものと心得ます。駅伝走者のつもりで、慌てず、楽しく、心穏やかに 次世代へタスキを渡せればと存じます。 ” 本当の理想郷 ” は、この世を去った後にあるのですから。南無阿弥陀仏だけは見失わぬよう進むのみです。念仏ファーストです！（笑）どうぞ皆様、助けて下さい。宜しくお願いしま～す!(^o^)!。合掌
