最近の世の中は、批判や苦情、揚げ足取りが多いなぁ … と思わないでしょうか？自分のことはさておき、他人のこととなると、皆が裁判官のようになって裁く・・・物事への寛容な心が消え、古きよき日本が溶けていくように思えてなりません。粋な方が少なくなりました。生きにくい世の中です。
仏教界でも 「 除夜の鐘 」 が、苦情によって昼間に行う寺院もあります。「 餅つきも大会 」 もO１５７の心配があるとの声で 自粛傾向へ。これ以外にも 「 盆踊り 」 の音がうるさいという苦情が出たため、ラジオの電波に音を乗せ、イヤホンで聴きながら踊るという 奇妙な光景があったり、節分の 「 豆まき 」 は危険という理由で中止。鬼が家々を回る 「 なまはげ 」 は、子どもが怖がるという苦情で鬼がとても優しくなったといいます。こういった伝統行事でさえ、一部のクレーマーによってなくなるのは寂しい限りです。
桜沢 如一氏のお言葉です。
「勝ち組、負け組」という言葉を最近よく耳にするが、これはずいぶん西洋的なものの見方だと感じる。もともと、日本人が昔から大切にしてきたのは、善か悪か、薬か毒かとはっきりと分けるやり方ではなく、もっと曖昧で相対的なものであった。たとえば、日本語には『かわいい』という言葉があるが、そこには「かわいらしい」という意味と「かわいそう」という意味がある。日本語には、ひとつの言葉がプラスとマイナス両面の意味をもっていることが多い。そのほか、『男は度胸、女は愛嬌』、『京女に東男』などの言い回しは、それぞれの特徴の良し悪しではなく、互いに補い合う関係性をいっている。昔の日本人は自然にこうした発想法をもち、物事をより大きな視点で捉えて、全体最適を選ぶことで平和を保ってきた。（『魔法のメガネ』陰陽研究会 監修 キラジェンヌ株式会社）
世の中を二元論で見ると、勝ち組と負け組、幼と老、新と旧、上と下、西洋と東洋、天国と地獄、善人と悪人、主役と悪役、敵と味方、優等生と劣等生、一軍と二軍といったように、白黒はっきり分けることができるという思想です。一元論は、男女も同じ一人の人間、世界は一つ、陰と陽は表裏一体、大人も子供も同じ人間、人間もそれ以外の動物植物も同じ地球上の生物、宇宙は一つ、といった思想です。公平を欠いた平等はダメですが、日本的なものの見方は一元論なんだと思います。例えば、陰と陽・・・陽を見れば ” 輝き ” を感じ、陰をみれば ” お陰 ” を知るのです。どちらか一方の偏った見方では 不完全なんですね。様々な個性や補いによって、みんなが幸せになれる発想を持ちたいものです。合掌
